The cutting line for sponge cake divides a squared sheet of sponge in equal, box-shaped portions. The number and size of the portion can be adjusted.

This line is composed of:

  • Conveyor belt.
  • Transversal cutting disc.
  • Longitudinal cutting disc.
  • Sugar spreader (optional).

 

Operation

A worker lays the sponge cake on the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt advances step by step, and the transversal cutting disc makes a cut in every step. Then, the longitudinal cutting discs make cuts in the advance direction.

If the line has a sugar spreader, it lays sugar over the sponge portions. The worker must take the portions out of the conveyor belt.
